Tekstraton is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to scale, secure, and maintain our high-availability sovereign cloud infrastructure across Canada. In this 100% remote role, you will champion automated operations, drive platform resiliency, and ensure our services maintain strict data residency compliance while delivering top-tier performance for mission-critical workloads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, manage, and optimize multi-region cloud infrastructure prioritizing uptime, scalability, and Canadian data sovereignty.
- Design and automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and continuous deployment workflows using Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Implement comprehensive observability stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing to monitor platform telemetry and define actionable SLIs/SLOs.
- Participate in a blameless post-mortem culture and an equitable on-call rotation to rapidly remediate critical incidents.
- Partner with software engineering teams to enhance code resilience, streamline CI/CD delivery pipelines, and drive operational best practices.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of dedicated experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Platform Engineering.
- Extensive operational experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Go, or Bash).
- Strong background in Linux internals, networking protocols, and distributed systems troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Canadian security and privacy frameworks (e.g., PIPEDA, SOC 2).
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and residing within a Canadian province or territory.
