Zipporin is seeking an experienced Next.js & Python Application Lead to guide the architectural direction and execution of our core platform applications. Based in Seattle, WA in a hybrid capacity, this leadership role will partner closely with engineering managers, product leads, and cross-functional teams to build high-performance, resilient, and scalable full-stack applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and steer the end-to-end technical roadmap for platforms utilizing Next.js, TypeScript, and Python services.
- Mentor, inspire, and grow a team of full-stack engineers by championing code quality, modern CI/CD patterns, and engineering excellence.
- Design performant APIs, microservices, and distributed data systems using FastAPI/Django and PostgreSQL.
- Drive frontend performance optimization, SSR/SSG workflows, and seamless user experiences across web surfaces.
- Partner with product and design leaders to scope initiatives, evaluate technical trade-offs, and maintain rapid delivery cycles.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with at least 2+ years leading engineering teams or complex technical initiatives.
- Demonstrated mastery of the Next.js ecosystem, modern React, and TypeScript.
- Extensive production expertise with Python for backend services, API design, and asynchronous programming.
- Strong background with cloud infrastructure (AWS), containerization (Docker), and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
- Ability to work in a hybrid model out of our Seattle, WA office.
